As someone with deep roots in the southeast Tennessee/north Georgia region, it is my passion to see more people in our region earn college degrees. It is the key to economic growth and the overall vitality of this wonderful place we call home.

Ephesians 3:20- “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

I earned my MBA through Belhaven’s adult program and found it both a challenging and fun experience. The professors are very accessible and helpful, and the staff truly follows the school motto, “to serve, not to be served.” Being a graduate myself, I can highly recommend our programs for adult learners!

Galatians 5:22-“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”

People’s lives are busy with work and family so returning to school can seem daunting. Here’s what I did when I finished my MBA at Belhaven. I set a date with myself to study throughout the week. As I prepared my calendar for other social events I also included study time. This helped relieve my stress, knowing I did have time planned throughout the week for study. Belhaven University believes in every adult student. We’re here to help you reach you goal!

Psalm 103:1 - “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.”

I love it when new students enter Belhaven University. It is such a blessing to be able to help them as they achieve the long-awaited goal of a college degree.  My desire is to be a smiling face at the front desk, a helpful resource when needed, and an encourager as they travel the path to graduation.

Galatians 2:20- “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

I Peter 1: 3, 4- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.

B.S. in History, English, Education- Middle Tennessee State University
30 post-graduate hours in Management and Research - Tusculum College

Belhaven offers a wonderful opportunity for working adults to complete their degrees in a Christian environment while raising a family. As a single mom and working full time, I went back to school to earn my master degree and additional post-graduate hours. I encourage those who are in a similar situation by telling them, “It’s not easy, but you can do it, too! It is worth it! YOU are worth it!”

Proverbs 3:5-6 - “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.”

It is a privilege to work with the adult and graduate students at Belhaven University. There is no greater joy for me than to journey with each student as they progress through their program of study and to see them walk confidently across the stage to receive their diploma. As an adult learner, I experienced the struggles of balancing family, church, work, and school. At Belhaven, we understand the need for balance, and we support you so you can successfully achieve your goals.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
