Debbie Adams, Chattanooga and Dalton Campus Director

B.A. in Humanities – Roberts Wesleyan College
EMT-Paramedic – Erie Community College

During the 17 years I worked as an emergency responder, one of my biggest strengths was putting patients at ease and helping them to push fear aside as they faced an unexpected illness or injury. I utilize that same strength now as I help working adults navigate the uncertainties of returning to school while juggling the demands of family and career. There will be good days and there will be bad days. But the end result will be worth it. I have yet to meet anyone who regretted finishing their degree.

Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Deborah Bramlett, Administrative Assistant for Chattanooga and Dalton Campuses

“To serve, not to be served” is Belhaven’s motto. Keeping this in mind helps me to put in proper perspective God’s purpose and plan for me. It is all about our students and what I can do to help ensure that their experience at Belhaven is a positive one. My role includes working with students, staff, faculty, vendors and others. I understand the challenges that our students deal with as they navigate on a daily basis their many lives – family, work, and attending college. My desire is that, as I perform my duties, I can use all that I have learned and experienced over the years to serve, support, and encourage.

2 Timothy 1:7 - “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

People’s lives are busy with work and family so returning to school can seem daunting. Here’s what I did when I finished my MBA at Belhaven. I set a date with myself to study throughout the week. As I prepared my calendar for other social events I also included study time. This helped relieve my stress, knowing I did have time planned throughout the week for study. Belhaven University believes in every adult student. We’re here to help you reach you goal!

Psalm 103:1 - “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.”

The demands of our everyday lives can be quite a challenge to navigate. As working adults we are juggling a lot of different things from our home life to our work lives. My goal here at Belhaven University is to help students have a seamless transition when going back to school. I am here to assist students in any way that I can and to be a voice that they can count on.

James 1:12 – "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."
Heather Tate Heather Tate, Assistant Director of Student Services, Dalton Campus

M.A. in Journalism Mass Communications in Public Relations - Kent State University

I am passionate about education and helping students succeed!  As an adult learner myself, I understand the difficulties of managing a family, while working and going to school.  I earned my GED as a young woman.  By the time I started my collegiate journey, I was a mother of four children and working full time.  I consider myself a life-long learner, and I have continued my own educational journey.  I am now working toward a doctorate degree in education.  I am dedicated to helping each student progress through his or her own educational journey and experience the joys of learning for life.

Acts 20:24 – "But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace."
